Serene Pink
Erin J
This is my daughter's nursery.  I really wanted a sweet and soft pink and green scheme.  On the walls there is a harlequin pattern with two soft pink tones.  At each point of the diamonds I hand painted small pink and green single roses to soften the points.  The fabrics are pink and white toile, white chenille stripe, white with pink and green pinstripe plaid, and a green fabric with white and pink embroidered polka dots.  (The green is coming across as a pea green in these photos, but is actually more of a celery green).  For the canopy over the bed, I actually used a hanging planter that I spray painted white and hung upside down.  I used a sheer white fabric with white embroidered polka dots for the window and canopy.  The chest of drawers is actually the same one used in my own nursery as a baby, which I painted white and each drawer received a different pattern and has green panels on each side.  All the photos in her room are of Riley herself in a tutu.  I used white frames with white matting and sewed a pink ribbon in and out of the matting around the photo.  Her letters all have her different fabrics as the back ground and are trimmed in pink and white ribbon.  I nailed up some green tin baskets above her changing table to put all of her necessities in.  Had a lot of fun putting this room together!
