Room of the Month February 2009  The room that is being featured is my 22 month old daughter Avery's nursery. It's done in a princess theme. The main colors are pink and green, and yellow as an accent. The wood furniture is all white and there is a pink glider. A lot of the things I had custom made....such as the window treatment and the bed crown over the crib that has her monogram initial on it. I hired Heidi at Posh Paint Designs to paint stripes on the wall, paint a sky on the ceiling, and do a mural over the crib. The crib bedding and crystal chandelier I bought online. There is a cute little table and chair set I bought from a local store. The green/pink rug is from Pottery barn. I added some cute picture frames and a few stuffed animals. I wanted the room to be sweet and classy. I designed the room in a way that she can use it for many years......I didn't want it to be too " baby ". My name is Christine Young. I am a married and have 4 beautiful children (1 boy, 3 girls ). My family and I recently relocated from Ft. Myers, Florida to Newport Beach, CA.
