Design Dazzler Designer of the Month January 2009  Surf Shack Ivonne Cervoni, Interiors by Decorating Den The walls were painted Swiss Blue 1B-815 - Banjamin Moore. Palm trees, sand and a surf board were faux painted on the walls around the room. The faux painting creates depth and makes the room look larger. A custom made surf board shaped sign personalizes this little boys room in a truly special way. Light colored bunk bed was selected to create plenty of sleeping space for the little owner and his friends. The dresser, desk and hutch, are also in a light wood that complements the floor color and make the room feel more spacious. Bamboo molding and a wicker fan were added to create the shack feeling. The surf shack needed a special window, so it was made to look like a straw awning supported by bamboo poles on the sand. A surfing board rug, lamp, and beach chair with its side table complete the Surfing Shack. The little owner loved his new room from the very first day. He takes guests on a tour of his room and invites them to come in and play some time with him in his new big boy room. Scroll down for additional photos. Contact
