This room was designed for a little girl in Newport Coast, California. The design inspiration was a comforter by QuikSilver purchased by my customer. (It has since been discontinued.) My customer found the large-scale brown and tan leaf print, and I designed and fabricated the pillow shams, bedskirt, draperies, and Roman shades in coordinating fabrics in chocolate brown, flax, and pink linen. The white bobble fringe on the draperies gives the window treatments just the right casual & playful look. Tasha Loudon of Art by Tasha (619-708-0473, www.artbytasha.com) painted a custom treatment on the walls, repeating the leaf and flower motif of the brown and tan fabric.
